We truly believe in continuing the old traditions of our ancestors who took so many pains to keep the Pashmina Shawl industry alive in Kashmir. Our founder, Mohammad Yehya Shahdad, belongs to the
Shahdad family in Kashmir. A mention of "Amel Shahdad", his great grandfather, in one of the studies done by the wildlife trust of India after the ban on Shahtoosh Shawls, is a testament to our history in the business of Pashmina Shawls. In the early 1900's "Amel Shahdad" and his brothers were known to travel on horseback from Srinagar, Kashmir to Ladakh and all the way to Tibet for journeys that lasted months to bring back the "Pashm", the fiber which they then used to supply to the artisans of Kashmir to weave the Pashmina Shawls from. This ancient trade carried out on the Silk Route by the ancestors of our founder provides us with the inspiration and guides us to the perfection we seek in uniting you with the true authentic Pashmina that you love to experience.
